Access Statement

Disabled Access

1. Introduction

We, Ballintaggart and at the premises of all our connected businesses (“we”, “us” or “our” as the case may be) take the needs and equal treatment of all our guests extremely seriously. We are committed to ensuring our facilities and services are accessible to all.

Notwithstanding this, we do have to recognise that there is no single design or layout that will entirely meet all individuals’ needs and preferences. If during your visit with us or while attending one of our events, you feel there is something we could do to assist you, or make your visit more comfortable, please speak to us or call 01887 447000 or email: hello@ballintaggart.com.

2. Bookings and pre-arrival

For details of how to book, or how to obtain information prior to arrival, please contact us via our website, or directly by email at hello@ballintaggart.com or by telephone on 01887 447000.

3. Arrival and car parking facilities

Directions to Ballintaggart and to The Grandtully Hotel, and details of local transport options, are online at www.ballintaggart.com or available by contacting us directly.

Our sites at Ballintaggart Farm and The Grandtully Hotel both have their own car parks. At The Grandtully Hotel we also have an accessible car park space available to guests who require it and we can reserve it for you with advance notice (at least 24 hours wherever possible).

Our dining areas at The Grandtully Hotel are on the ground floor and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs to access and enjoy these areas provided. Please contact us in advance to discuss any particular access needs.

Unfortunately, we do not have level access to Ballintaggart Farm, due to the layout of the farm buildings, but we will do our best to make alternative access arrangements available to you on your request.

4. Main entrance and reception

Our reception at The Grandtully Hotel operates 24 hours a day.

If you have any queries regarding any guest experiences that you have booked with us, you can contact us by telephone on 01887 447000 at any time.

50% of your accommodation will be charged at the time of booking with the balancing payment due on departure, along with all other extras (food, drinks, bike hire or cook school experiences).

Whilst our Reception area is quite small, there will generally be at least one small table and one or two chairs provided. Familiarisation tours of The Grandtully Hotel or Ballintaggart Farm can be provided upon request. Guests are advised to inform us at check in if they will require any assistance in the event of a fire evacuation.

5. Public areas - general (internal)

Access around the public areas of our premises will generally be by means of level access. If you have specific access requirements, please contact us in advance of your visit to us to discuss how we can best accommodate your needs. For reasons of fire safety, the circulation corridors of The Grandtully Hotel are subdivided at regular intervals by self-closing, fire resisting doors.

6. Bars and restaurants

Large print menus are available on request. Our team members will also be happy to take guests through the menu options if requested. Table service is provided in the main restaurant and The Tully Bar at The Grandtully Hotel and in the evening at the Ballintaggart Farm. A range of seating options is provided throughout our bars and restaurants, offering a reasonable degree of choice and flexibility.

7. Meeting, function and conference rooms

We would be delighted to help you host your special events or fun “team away days”. Please contact us on 01887 447000 or email: hello@ballintaggart.com to discuss. The Grandtully Hotel also has a Private Dining Room for hire and we are available to host large functions and other events at Ballintaggart Farm. We enjoy hosting events and we would be delighted to discuss hosting an event for you at one of our sites so please get in touch.

8. Bedrooms

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer bedrooms designed specifically for use by disabled persons at The Grandtully Hotel. However, if you contact us, we can consider how we can best accommodate specific access needs. Unfortunately, neither Ballintaggart Farm nor The Grandtully Hotel have mobile hoists. However, should a guest wish to bring their own mobile hoist we can do our best to accommodate its use subject to receiving sufficient advance notice of this at the time of booking. Most bedrooms at The Grandtully Hotel are provided with a desk and chair. Where space permits a chair and small table or bedside cabinet are also provided. If during your stay you would like the bedroom furniture rearranged, or an item of furniture removed or provided, please contact us and we will do our utmost to assist. Accessible storage facilities are provided in all bedrooms.  The flooring in bedrooms is short pile carpet. Televisions with a remote control are provided in all bedrooms. These televisions have the facility to display subtitles. Fire evacuation procedures are displayed on the back or to the side of the bedroom doors. Guests are reminded to inform us on arrival if they would require any assistance in the event of a fire evacuation.

In accordance with our policy across all our premises, all of our accommodation is “No Smoking.”

9. Bathrooms

Bathroom floors are of a non-slip material. Bathmats are provided as standard. If you have any concerns about the layout of any bathroom during your stay with us, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

10. Additional information

We regret that we cannot generally accept pets but we are happy to accommodate our customers with assistance dogs.

We aim to give all our team members disability awareness training. Unfortunately, Ballintaggart cannot offer personal care.

In addition, children over 16 years old are welcome at Ballintaggart Farm and at The Grandtully Hotel to stay with us (provided they take their own room and are accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also staying with us).  Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if visiting us.

At The Grandtully Hotel, we have several rooms with twin bed capacity, travel cots for babies and additional z-beds if required.

Should you require assistance during your stay please contact us and our Team Members will be happy to do all that they can to assist.
